“Kurt, it’s already six-thirty sweetheart, and you know how long it takes to get there,” Blaine called through the crack of the bathroom door as he ran a towel through his soaking wet curls. He was lucky he had pried himself out of the shower before he got any ideas while his fiance was with him under the warm streams of the water. Thankfully he had always been pretty quick to get ready, or at least relatively so in comparison to the brunette boy who he knew for a fact had a much longer preparation time than himself. So he let him go about his routine while Blaine trudged over to their closet, his towel wrapped back around his waist haphazardly before grabbing a pair of boxer briefs to slip into. Thumbing through his wardrobe he pulled out a decent enough outfit and set it carefully on the bed’s edge, his towel hanging over a shoulder while he made his way back into the bathroom in order to work the usual gel and comb through his messy curls. Once he managed to sort his hair into being acceptable for the public to see he grabbed for his razor next to the sink and leaned over the counter enough to be able to shave the small scruff that had made it’s way across his chin and just above his lip.
Kurt was smoothing the contents of his moisturizing routine against his cheeks, humming quietly to himself. He scoffs. “I am going as fast as I can, baby,” he calls back, he screws the cap on back onto the moisturizer, setting it down and going about doing his hair. He did his hair how it usually was, pinching his eyes shut and spraying hairspray all around him, waving it out of his face. Before he walks out of the bathroom, he presses a tiny kiss to Blaine’s forehead before he makes his way to his wardrobe. He’s going to be impressing Blaine’s uncle tonight and it needs to go absolutely right. Kurt rummages through, finding a pair of skinny jeans that weren’t too tight (but of course, they were) and a plan button up white shirt that was from Marc Jacobs, and he rummages until he finds a black scarf, tying it around his neck and looking at himself in the mirror for a moment. “Perfect,” he says to himself, grinning stupidly and grabbing his boots, sitting down and taking a moment to himself to tie and zip them up properly. Walking over back to their bathroom, he grabs cologne and sprays himself. “And I’m ready!” He calls out, walking over to Blaine and pecking him on the lips. Just as he did so, Adam came padding into the room and whining at Kurt’s feet. “Aw, sweetheart,” Kurt coos, leaning down and scratching Adam’s head. Just as he does this, McQueen meows her way into the room and Kurt laughs happily. “Yes, yes, I’ll miss the two of you as well, but we’ve got dinner tonight,” Kurt tells them, kissing their heads and standing back up, looking at Blaine with a smile on his face. “Are we ready to go?”
